Hello, my name is Choon Cho. I’m very excited to be a volunteer at CALIF as a deaf service provider with my 19 years of experience in this position. My deafness happened when I was 27 years old and had just become a mother with my first son who was a month old. I fought with my medical condition for 8 years even though the doctor stated that my life would not be longer than 6 months. My major study was psychology at the university and I was also nominated as outstanding student. I’m here to assist you to take action toward your bright future and to become independent. Let’s break a wall together through communication with our beautiful American Sign Language (English Sign Language) and Korean Sign Language as well. CALIF always opens doors of welcome to everyone willing to be empowering in the community.
